Fire in the Hills

Yes, the Gap Fire is still raging in the hills of Goleta.  We are safe where we are, but there is plenty if smoke and ash in the air.  Here are some photos we took the two days ago.  All that stuff that looks like smog is smoke.

I tried to take a picture of the fire at night, but the flash just picked up a bunch of ash.  It kind of looks like snow.

We just had a rad weekend, but I don't have any photos. (Lisa didn't bring her camera, and my camera isn't working.) But wait until you get up here, and I tell you stories about all the things that went down!

Coolin' Down

It's hot!  The thermostat at home says 90º outside and 82º inside.  The boys are starting to sweat, so the best way to cool down and have fun is IN THE TUB!!

Our Weekend With The Halls

This past weekend we went up to see Brett's folks and had a few adventures. On Friday we went to the Oakland Zoo. Xander wasn't in the mood after a while, but attached to the zoo was a kiddie fun spot where he road the train with this Grandparents, drove a fire engine (all by himself) and also drove a jeep, and flew a little plane. He had a great time!

Don't worry...

... it is only chocolate.  Xander had an ice cream cone and he had it all over this face for nearly an hour.  Sitting on the potty was the first time he was still enough for a photo.
