Blog Consolidation

Posting the same thing to two blogs all the time is getting kind of old, plus using blogger from an iPhone is not so fun. So from now on I'll be posting family update stuff here. There's a button on that page that says "follow blog on email" that you use to sign up to get an email when there's an update. It's on the right side bar when viewing it in a full size browser. Unfortunately, the button doesn't show up when viewing the mobile version of the site (e.g. when using a smart phone). In that case you need to scroll to the bottom of the page and hit the "view full site" link, and then you can hit the button once the full site has loaded.

Her Own Bed

Since Steve moved out a few weeks ago we’ve been looking for a bed for Quinn on Craig’s list. That wasn’t going anywhere so Lisa ended up buying her one at Ikea yesterday. Quinn slept in it last night until about two am, and then was not happy this morning when she didn’t wake up in her own bed so I it seems like she likes it.

Duncan the pooping dinosaur

Me and Quinn hit the zoo today after talking about it for most of the week. Even though Duncan the pooping dinosaur was most of what Quinn was talking about when we talked about the zoo she wouldn’t go any closer than about 50 feet when actually facing the beast himself (as evidenced by the photo above). This was an improvement though. In the past she always ran screaming the instant she heard the dinosaur coming, let alone laying eyes on him.

I was kind of surprised when she was willing to feed the giraffes. Though she did have trouble maintaining a grip on the lettuce until the giraffe got its tongue around it. Once she saw the tongue coming she would freak out and drop the lettuce before the giraffe could get it. Above was one of the few times the giraffe actually got some food from her.
